 United Methodist Women/Susanna Circle

The organized unit of United Methodist Women (UMW) shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; to expand concepts of mission through participation in global ministries of the church!

Here are some of the ways the Carson UMC & Susanna Circle serves our church and local communities:

  • Fundraisers - pies, dinners, knives

  • School - milk money, reading program, wipes, Kleenex, prom, reading books for 2nd graders, book bags

  • In Gathering - supplies and bags

  • Lap Quilts - VA Hospital & nursing homes

  • Cards sent for all occasions

  • Made diapers, pillow cases, bags, altar clothes for Haiti and for the needy

  • Micah House - supplies and celebration of excellence

  • Family Inc - meals, baby mats, blankets and babysitting

  • Hope Net - make and serve meals twice a year

  • Old card fronts sent to St. Jude for crafts

  • Purchases - 10 large print Upper Room devotionals, kids bells, Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts,

  • special recognition pins, supplies for the 3 Methodist projects, gift to mission and in memory

  • Made flood blankets

  • Help families in need and during illness with food & money

  • Worked and visited Sequels Thrift Store, Hawthorne Hill, Shesler Hall, and Bidwell-Riverside

  • Serve funeral dinners
