United Methodist Women/Susanna Circle
The organized unit of United Methodist Women (UMW) shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; to expand concepts of mission through participation in global ministries of the church!
Here are some of the ways the Carson UMC & Susanna Circle serves our church and local communities:
Fundraisers - pies, dinners, knives
School - milk money, reading program, wipes, Kleenex, prom, reading books for 2nd graders, book bags
In Gathering - supplies and bags
Lap Quilts - VA Hospital & nursing homes
Cards sent for all occasions
Made diapers, pillow cases, bags, altar clothes for Haiti and for the needy
Micah House - supplies and celebration of excellence
Family Inc - meals, baby mats, blankets and babysitting
Hope Net - make and serve meals twice a year
Old card fronts sent to St. Jude for crafts
Purchases - 10 large print Upper Room devotionals, kids bells, Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts,
special recognition pins, supplies for the 3 Methodist projects, gift to mission and in memory
Made flood blankets
Help families in need and during illness with food & money
Worked and visited Sequels Thrift Store, Hawthorne Hill, Shesler Hall, and Bidwell-Riverside
Serve funeral dinners
